Navigating the Ins and Outs of Laser Liposculpture

So, what's all the hubbub about Laser Liposculpture? We constantly hear from confused clients who are often misled by poorly trained treatment providers and confusing Marketing verbiage. Here's our attempt at clearing things up, while keeping it simple.

Laser Liposculpture is a non-invasive procedure using only the photonic energy of laser light and is not to be confused with the more invasive Laser Liposuction or Laser "Lipo" as it's often referred to. Laser Liposculpture is FDA-approved for the reduction of fat and cellulite. Target regions include those stubborn areas resistant to both diet and exercise such as the belly, arms (bat wings), thighs, hips and back (bra rolls). Larger surface areas can be treated vs. Coolsculpting which is more for targeted smaller areas. An ideal candidate should be within 15 lbs of their target weight for optimal results. Once the fat cells are removed, they are gone from the treatment area(s) permanently. Fat cells cannot return in these areas, however if weight gain occurs, fat cells can develop in new areas especially around the internal organs which can be dangerous as well as other unwanted areas. So maintaining weight is beneficial.

Post-treatment, a client is encouraged to stay hydrated to further flush fat out of the body, along with doing some type of activity/exercise to keep the metabolism elevated as well as being mindful of what they eat to ensure there isn’t any weight gain. Our Wellness professionals can assist with this as well. The main difference between this and other more traditional lipo treatments is that Laser Liposculpture is just as much art as it is science. Perhaps more. This treatment requires artistic vision, a delicate hand, and a tremendous knowledge of the human anatomy.

When a client schedules a consult with us here at Flawless Future Med Spa, they are asked to bring a bathing suit with them to change into. At their consultation they are given an assessment and goals are discussed. They rest on the exam table where our Licensed Practitioner attaches the treatment pads. The energy level and exposure pattern is customized to the client’s particular needs. The client rests comfortably during the entire procedure and listens to relaxation music. The entire treatment process lasts approximately 1-½ hours depending on the number of areas targeted.
